lThe purpose and philosophy of this websitel

This site is about how to celebrate our lives as human beings in a way we can all share - which, for me, means (among other things) writing about our life experiences.

Look at the charming image below... is this the bliss of a '20s childhood re-created?
Read my memoirs chapters four and six to find out.

Note: There is an extensive record of Ashfield pages on another website. Click here for the URL.)

This site is for celebrating the good things about our past as well as our present, especially through the writings of the people who lived them.

In this society of ours, with our shared past - the hard economic times and their family disruptions, the wars and their family disruptions, all the unhealed divisions - among races, socio-economic groups, children and adults, men and women - that have always existed through all the years, let alone our inherited woes from our countries of origin, we have plenty of things to be scared about. to feel bad about, to long for relief and healing from.

And it's likely to get worse, from a lot of indications! So let us indeed remember to celebrate each others' lives and stories!

If you think your own creative writing belongs here, contact us.

As an example of one viewer whotook us up on our offer to share this site, look at the poetry pages for two new poems by Laurie Corzett we just received that offer hope and a place to find companionship in our chaotic, scary world.

Click here to feel (a little) better in these scary times!
